“RITTER DENE VOSS” by Thomas Bernhard, Rogaland Theatre, Norway 1989
The text is a dark drama about perverted relations between two sisters and a brother in bourgeois Vienna. The space was a tomb-like room without colors. Both the spectators and the actors were enclosed in this claustrophobic night-mare of a dining room. The costumes and even the food was without any life-giving colors. Only when the psychotic brother ripped off the nap and crushed all the plates and glasses a blood red mahogany table was exposed.
